K24a1 with k20a2 or k20z3

A friend of mine is selling a k24a1 short block for 100. I been wanting to do a swap in my ep for a while but don't have alot of cash. I want to know if I can put a k20a2 or k20z3 head on it without switch parts. Keeping it all stock. A friend of my said u can put a k20a2 head on a k24a1 and it work perfect fine.
