Are you 100% sure it's your oil filter? I thought I had the same problem but it turned out to be the oil pressure sensor right above the oil filter that was leaking.

When you install your oil filter, do you lube the gasket with fresh oil before installing it? Sometimes when you install it with a dry gasket it can leak in some areas. Do you have pictures?

You said you made an extra gasket? Are you using two gaskets at the same time? Is the one you made a solid piece?

Firsat remove the extra gasket, then clean the filter gasket well, then clean the engine where the oil filter mounts.

    Re-install oil filter

    If problem continues, replace filter.

    If problem continues, IDFK.

Thats wierd, never seen one leak there. Check the filter mating surface, it might have a gouge or a burr in it.
