Any pictures of modded JDM Rebar

Are there any pictures here of the modded Rear rebar? I can not find any at all. Im going to be buying a CTR rebar and I know it still has to be modded.

Any info on this I am not seeing?

There were photos possible before the crash. I don't have any photos, but i recall seeing the ends chopped off at an 30-45 degree angle and new plates rewelded and the mounting holes needed to be redrilled to match the usdm pattern.

I'm missing something. Why does it need to be modified?

You have quite a few projects going!

    It's not a direct fit.

The mounting holes are not in the correct locations and the rebar sits ~1" too far from the body. Since, the EP3R rebar needs to be modded anyway, might as well mod the UDSM one. Also, IIRC the USDM the rebar has a thicker gauge steel as well

Oh, God, I'm glad I don't drink or do drugs. I was thinking stabilizer bars, lol. I saw a really nice comparo of 3 bars yesterday. Let me look around.

I'm going to attach a fabbed aluminum bar to the inside eventually....

Found it. Figures, it's SHG's. Post # 2959, second to last page. Ask SHG (Evan) what you need to know.

It took a bit of test fitting/fabricating and putting the bumper on/taking off before I got mine right. I cut the sides off mine in order for the side tabs to reach the mating clips on the car, not exactly sure how much as I test fit, then cut. The obvious part of it all was that I had to shorten the whole piece quite a bit. So what I just ended up doing was cutting off the USDM mounting plates, weld in some supports and finally rewelded the mounting plates. The mounting plates ended up being recessed into the beam a little bit. There was a lot of grinding work done. Took my time, did it in one day and came out pretty decent. The clearances between the support beam are very close so I was pleased with my results.

That would have made a good DIY thread!
