Could it just be the O2 sensor?

    You can check it yourself.

Jump pins 4 and 9 on the OBD-II port under the driver side dash. You can't miss it look directly to where your right knee would be. Once you jump those pins with a wire several lights on the cluster will start flashing.

You will want to look at the check engine light. 1 long flash = 10 and 1 short flash = 1 when there's a pause between flash sequences that means it's going to the next code. For example: 2 long flashes and 5 short flashes = Code 25.

Add the flashes together to get your code and come back to us.

When u said jump pins 4 and 9 with a wire, is it just a single wire? Can I use my multimeter since its got probes which I think is easier to get to the pins

⬆best advice. I dint even know they do it free in auto zone . so the guy ran his scanner and code P0420 came up.

I just passed the emissions a month ago so it couldn't be the cat converter. I'm down to o2 sensor and a/f ratio. I appreciate all your inputs

Based on this pic, I think its either your o2 sensor or cat.

Is there a way to further find out which one is at fault?
