Question Clutch Vibration - New Clutch

    Hi Guys,

Just had a new clutch installed and I've got some questions:

1.) Are our clutches adjustable? My Mechanic said they were not because they are hydraulic?
2.) I am feeling some vibration in the clutch pedal when it is not fully to the floor. The more I engage the clutch the more the vibration goes away.
3.) Every once in a blue moon when shifting into 5th gear (Clutch is FULLY to the floor) I get some grind. Only happens at higher RPM's... only with 5th gear and after it happens once I can not replicate it.

    Any help would be appreciated!

    Thanks guys!
    - Mark

did you give the clutch a 500 mile break in period?
is it a after market clutch disk? stage ????
    how old is your tranny?
did you resurface your flywheel? this might have something to do with vibrations.
stock usdm ep3 trannies are notorious for a grind at higher rpms, especially third. your 4th-5th synchros could be going.

how does it pull when you give her the beans in second? is it strong? is it slipping?

Sorry school started and haven't had time to check back. Heres the info:
    - Gave it a break in period. (had to go on the highway a few times for long commutes though...)
    - Tranny is Original.
    - Flywheel was resurfaced.
    - Real strong in Second when I goose it.

I have read that it is not a good idea to resurface our flywheels and have heard that people have used shims on the base of the clutch arm to correct this. something about shaving to much surface...blah....blah.....

but honestly........ I resurfaced my type r flywheel after I read that info...... I figure they are taking small cuts on a mill, not hacksawing it off.
so take it with a grain of salt.
as long as it isn't slipping I would say, job well done!

P.S.- Can you adjust the clutch in our EP3's? Mine engages so high off the floor... :/
