Welcome! Since you're studying engineering you will enjoy researching whether or not to drop the EP3 1.5". Check out the suspension section here, on cep3.com, and crsx.com.
Hey everybody, bought an 04 ep3 a few months back. Its the 3rd car I've owned and have to say, not only am I very satisfied with it, but it has superseded every expectation I have ever had of a Honda. First car was a jeep, then traded that for a 2.3L 5spd Mazda 3. the Mazda was what sparked my ambition for automobiles and was my first car to build. my love for that car is what set me on the course I'm on, studying to be an automotive engineer.
At first I had every intention of keeping the ep3 stock, aside from a few cosmetic adjustments, but with a passion for cars and the desire for that perfect blend of form and function, it wasn't long before I abandoned that idea. so I figured I would make a thread to document the process as I go and share with the ep3 community as well. it will be a slow going process as I'm on that college budget but I should be coming into a good chunk of change soon from my Mazda part out. That's when ill start making the larger leaps. whelp, on to the car already.

thanks! yeah i've been reading up for a few months now on the ep3 and have pretty much figured out what i intend to do with it. i will go check out crsx.com too, thanks for the suggestion. the 1.5" is mainly for the the look, not too high not too low. but ill adjust the front/back + or - a .1" or 2 to fine tune my set up. i've got to cut off my budget for a coilover set up at $1000, any suggestions for a quality set up in that range? Megan offers a few around that price, any reviews on those? i mainly want a basic set, not too aggressive, that wont have pop or bind or make any noises.
your all free to talk about your suspension set ups here if you would like! any recommendations are welcome.

Another CTer. I'm from danbury
edit; sorry, forgot you want 1.5".
What's up man. I'm from new milford, I'm in the danbury area all the time. Go to any meets? I like to pop my face in around those every once in a while
Na to old for meets lol
too old for meets? most of the guys I see at them are 40+. last one I actually went to was the Orange County Choppers meet in 2013. you can meet great people at them. great people means great connections :)
Here's what she's got going on inside so far
close up of the shifter set up. sorry the shifter boot was pretty dirty.
Blue door inserts are up next, and finally some LED dome lights. maybe an aluminum pedal set up eventually but not on my priority list.
Thanks for looking!
Did the door panels over the weekend, pretty happy with the outcome
and just some more shots of the interior cause I liked them
New grille set up is in the mail, fog lights will follow, and that will be it for a while. The semester just started for me so that will consume most of my time, plus I'm saving up for some coilovers and those are coming next after the fogs. Thanks for looking!
Man, that's a lot of blue.
If you want a newer cruise control switch (better condition, at least) for the steering wheel, let me know. I have a few extra. If it bugs you, PM me. Just pay shipping and I'll send one out to you.

Yes, it is. Perfect for my taste, I hated the crome and the pale white or whatever it was. Makes the inside look old.
And thank you, I will keep that in mind
Small update.
Some basic maintenance:
Changed the oil, always a PIA in the winter without a garage. using Mobil 1 5W20 fully synthetic oil and Mobil 1 oil filter. cleaned the air filter and added some gas and oil treatment.
Completed the new grille setup. just waiting for warmer/ dryer conditions to install it. looks like I can just get up from underneath the car to do so. not trying to remove the bumper if I don't have to.
Some good/bad news, I was informed that I will need to replace the front struts in the near future. so looks like coils have jumped to the front of the line. the fog/ headlight setup has to take the back seat. but I'm not complaining, now I can more easily justify spending a fifth of the car's total coast on a single modification so close to the cars purchase. but it will be so worth it! benefiting from an unfortunate situation!
Would ya just look at her, she loves the snow
Come spring I plan to remove the "Be Easy" vinyl the "Courtney" dealers badge and the "I-vtec" logo for a real clean look. I like the "Be Easy" vinyl but with the extreme colds we've been having some pieces have chipped off. plus it was more of a winter thing to help promote my friends Snowboarding and Skateboarding company.
I'll post up some pictures of the grille once I get it installed.
couldn't pass up this photo opportunity.
dam man! liking the plans! if you can raise your coil over budget by $200 you could get your hands on some nice fortune autos :D got a guy that gives great deals...
