yeah valve adjustment is about all you need. oil changes, plugs and valve adjustment. change all the fluids.
Hello EP3 Community!
I finally purchased the car I've always wanted as a teenager, a slick, fully stock 2002 EP3!
The car has about 120 000 miles on it (192000km, I'm Canadian), clean status. So I was wondering if you guys have any suggestions on the maintenance I should do to it. I also find that the engine sounds kind of bad, especially below 3000 rpm. It seems to pull ok, but then again that's the most powerful car I've owned, so I couldn't really say if there's a loss of power.
I hear the K's are clicky engines, but under gas below 3K rpm, I find it just sounds like a cheap engine... Would that simply be a Valve adjustment issue? Anyway, any advice is welcome!
Thanks again guys, happy to be part of the community :D

Transmission fluid is always good to do
Congrats on the purchase! How old's the clutch? If it's the original one, should be about time for a new one. Check bushings, motor mounts, and boots; when I got mine at 127k miles in May, most of this stuff needed to be redone.
Did you check and make sure your cams were good an not all pitted? Make sure you run 5w-30 as well.
Hey man good luck on the Ep3. I got mine last week (fully stock except for a aftermarket intake) and am loving it. A true teenagers wet dream
