I ran 205-50-16 several years ago dropped 1.5" and never had any issues. You'll be fine.
So I've been researching all day to find the right size tires for these 16" rims. Currently my car is at stock height but looking to upgrade my suspension in 2-3 years. I want to be flexible with the option to lower 1"-1.5".
I've read/seen that some people are getting rubbing issues with 205/50r16 tires and in contradiction, photos of EP3s with the same specs with what it seems no problems at all.
So I ask, what tires should I go for? 205/45r16 or 205/50r16? I currently use this vehicle as my daily driver and have decided to upgrade so I could have a safe commute(high speed, pot holes, etc). I'm trying to find the threshold of a size tire that can accommodate safety and still look good.
Below is the specs that I found. On the left is the stock tire, the middle 205/50r16 and the right what I currently have on. According to this I should have no clearance issues right?
Thanks ya'll for your time, comments, and suggestions.

And on my 04-05, I ran 225 50 16s, though with less drop (approx an inch.)
