Been a while since I have been active on here and thought I would say howdy. Having some work done on Lauren to bring her back up to snuff and it got me thinking about the 'ol ephatch.

I do remember you, think you were one of the first K24a2 JRSC on here if I recall. I know my join date does not appear old, however it reflects a good old ephatch crash date.

I was certainly one of the first, if not the first blown K24s around. Still running the same setup too. Got into racing and haven't looked back. I just cannot abide some of the things some people do to their cars purely for appearance.

Still running a stock K24a2? How's the JRSC holding up?

I need an EP version of the JRSC for my K20a so bad! Next to impossible to find them for sale. I should have never sold mine in back in 07.

No, not running the stock motor. It died due to a spark plug electrode breaking off while I was on track. Been running a built motor for a while now. K24 block, K24A2 head, Wiseco pistons, Manley Rods, IPS Ksc cams. Basically the whole kit. Blower is running great. Sent it back to JR a few years back and had it rebuilt as a precaution, but it was running strong when I did it.

How many miles did you have on the SC prior to rebuilt? Also what was entailed in a rebuild and at what cost?

I'm just trying to graps what I may be in for should I finally locate a used kit.

I know CPL Racing in the UK is currently working on releasing a EP3 spec SC kit, which they will be notifying me once its complete. I may go that route if the exchange rate is not out of control.

Man I just don't remember how many miles on it. It was maybe $200 I don't remember for sure. It was easy though, just box it up and ship it off to them. They replace all the wear parts, bearings and bushings and such, and if needed the rotors as well.

She is nice and torquey. 218 peak and over 200 from appr 4000 to nearly 8000rpm. Was using her for track days. Not fully caged so not real racing, but lots of fun.

How many years has it been since the Ephatch Picnics' at the little park in Maryland? Still cruising my hatch with over 100K on the SC and 166K overall. Didn't you do the K24 set-up? Getting to old to remember that far back. Good to hear you're doing well.
