If you take the Air filter elbow off, I think you can get to it. You won't be able to really do much tho. There is very little room.
Hi EP3 fam, it's been a long time.
My good ol' civic decided not to start today (engine won't crank at all). I checked all the fuses/relay, clutch contact points, battery and everything looks good. I'm trying to troubleshoot the starter and of course Honda made it stupid hard to get to. I'm trying to tap it to see if that can get it to come back alive as a temporary solution. Is there an easy way to access it without removing the intake manifold? If not, I'll just tow it.

Thanks! I was able to reach the starter, not enough room but enough to hit it a couple of times. Ended up towing it to my mechanic and it turned out to be an electrical problem. All good now.
I replace my starter by removing the radiator.
