    i'm about to give up

i'm really considering selling my ep3. i decided to "try" and fix all the darn suspension/handling/steering issues but can't make any progress because of a ball joint. yep, a ball joint. Picklefork doesn't work. Rental ball joint separator doesn't work and bends the spindle. penetrating oil doesn't do anything. the "jack" trick doesn't work because the lca setup is different than what most other Hondas have. I might have to send these hardrace ball joints and reverse tie rod ends back

you need heat...get an oxyacetylene torch and heat up the spindle to get it to expand around the ball joint an loosen up. Try not to heat up the ball joint itself.

Just go to a shop and get it done there. You could even get a free donut.

thank you for the advice, i had a friend bring his cutting torch over. That torch was able to get the LCA hot enough to bang that ball joint out with a big hammer!
