I was reading some forums about VW owners stealing the EP antenna, so i made mine look like a VW antenna. Plus that little stub didnt get that good of reception, this one works better and my stations are more clear. Its a GM truck antenna but i sawed it in half, and added a cap to the end. I also had a great old time attaching it to the EP because domestic antennas are reversed. I had to make a stud that was 8mm on one side and 1/4 on the other. . .

Here's what I would do:
Since you're not gonna be using your stock antenna, why worry about it getting stolen?
I would use your stock antenna, if someone steals it, put on the GM one.
There are other alternatives, such as glueing it.
Add a Japanese Kamikazi flag and you're all set. HAHA
the antenna is approx the same length of an IS300 antenna. And i do listen to a lot of CD's but if a good song is on FM I like to bump it. The higher the quality signal to the amps the more efficently they reproduce it. The stub just was'nt cutting it
