just edit your post, and delete your attachment. I resized your pic to a tolerable size;)
I really like your setup. I plan to do something similar with mine when the weather gets a little nicer. Did you build the box yourself?
nice work!
I personally think if you are going to have more than one amp they should all be from the same company. Mixing and matching amps I think makes it look like a home jobby. Just my 2 cents.
looks nice, i bet it hits pretty loud
i agree too...;) you can always hide the other one.Originally posted by Si02

I disagree, I think unless you're doing a competition level car it's almost snobbery to say you should have the same brand amp.
How are you going to know what brand you like best if you just try one company? Unless you have loads to blow, or work in a stereo shop... I think experiencing different brands is something everyone should do. Throughout your car audio career, I have a hard time believing people stick with the same brand, or never change for that matter. I mean, I get a new amp, sub, speakers maybe every 2-4 years max... Unless you're breaking your gear, it's hard for me to understand how or why you would ever have to replace all of it at the same time, assuming you had found the "ideal" brand name.
Just saying for some of those other people like me who might have felt a little abjected by the "home jobby" or hiding your apparently lesser quality components.
I think the poster was asking for comments on his hard work, not if you liked his gear.
I personally think it's hot to death, and am going to build a box, and display my mismatched amps proudly. :-)
I'd been thinking about whether I wanted to say something about those comments, and I'm glad I did, I think there's nothing wrong at all with what the person did.
Best, Bill
I'm not even going to waste my time on you Ocelaris.
I don't care what the amps look like, as long as they have the right compromise on quality, sound and price. Limiting yourself to only one brand only makes sense if you only care about looks (it is audio, not a display booth) or can aford only the absolute best, not your average Alpine, Kenwood, Eclipse stuff.
Ok if you guys can't play nice, i will have to seperate you too.
