Questions about handbrakes...

Hey guys, I just got my new EP about three weeks ago. I'm lovin' it, but one thing I've really noticed is the handbrake is weak as junk. I can't park my car on much of a steep hill, let alone do the handbrake turns I so desperately desire... someone know how to tighten the damn thing? First car owner, and I have no clue, anyone? do a search on this... you'll have to adjust the cable. Your dealer will do it for free (unless you want to do it yourself).

Some people on here have rolled into other cars because of the slacked e-brake.

I had my car run into the lower portion of a parking lot twice with just the parking brake on, and have never thought twice about putting it in gear since. It's a habit now.:)

Hope nobody has remote start when you leave it in gear. That would be a sight to see.:D

i ALWAYS park in gear, rarely use the parking brake since it can freeze in the winter. Just turn those wheels so the car will roll into a curb.

I have tried to yank the hand brake in a parking lot in dry and wet pavement and the rear wheels didn't lock up too well. . .

That is EXACTLY why I wanna tighten it! Hehe

I would really like to upgrade all the brakes and put a hydraulic hand brake on. WRC style. . . .need more money for that then I have to spare at this time.
