No you DO NOT Have to cut the doors to fit a speaker in there. You can use a Spacer ring, or call crutch field and ask for them they are about 12.00 for the set.
As for the rears you can install ANY 6.5" speaker in the rears. very simple to do you could do it your self.
dang you are helping me a lot pax...both here and pm lolol thanks
There Infinity reference speakers, fitment was pretty good...for the tweeters just had to cut out the notches in the factory bracket, I used the whole saw I had from installing the same tweeters into my accord's door pannels...then used the flush mounting bracket the set comes with to install into the factory bracket...I ended up cutting the holes in the door to get the woofers to fit...Originally posted by C1V1C

Id definately recommend doing some kind of sound proofing on the doors, it made a huge difference with road noise.
Looking to get a little better mid-range and more bass and happened to come acorss a deal I couldnt pass up, so I ended up picking up a kicker 2 and 4 channel amp. Im running both sets of components (front/rear) off the 4 channel and have the 2 channel with low pass filter on running a set of 6 3/4 rockford mid range woofers. Definately picked up a lot more clarity and bump with the switch. Here's some pics...
Just wondering on the Clarion how easy is it to read the display durring the day? I have heard red can be hard to read. I like it since it matches the dash.
Also is that the Clarion ProAudio DXZ835MP? I saw it on cruchfield.
Thanks
Yeah the clarion deck is tough to see during the day, not impossible though. Its the 835 model, I got it for $275 shipped off ebay in the sealed box. I would definately recommend it.
clean install, now hardwire that radar detector and mount it stealth.
I have never owned a radar dedector. Are they really any good to have? I could see pre drilling the power cord hole for it in that shelf.
Does that rattle the hell out of your rear cover?
Not at all...the rear cover is made of pressed foam, no metal.Originally posted by Si02

I just installed a JL 12w7 with JL 500/1 amp this weekend and will post pics shortly. If your looking for some serious bass I would highly recommend this setup.:D
