    Yokohama AVID W4S

I needed a new set of DD tires so I found these. They are supposedly quiter than the Kumho ASX's that I have been running. They are 225-45-17's

I will post up some pics of them mounted tomorrow.

nice, i'm split between these, at $402 mounted balenced, the kuhmos you just spoke of at $380, or the falken ziex 912s at $365. I hear the falkens wear quite quick, and the kumhos ride better. Still doing some research so, let me know how you like them!

The Kumho's ride kinda harsh and noisey, these are "supposed" to ride smoother and quiter, we will see!

I put 800 miles on them and they ride much better than The Kumho's! Real nice in wet weather.

I got some V4S' too. I'm my second set on of them and I love them. They are quiet, sticker, better in the rain, and cheaper than most in its class and a whole lot cheaper the the stock pilots. On top of that they have the high tread rating and 60,000 mile warranty. So you really can't go wrong with them especially doing DD work. And they work in the snow and ice too I haven't gotten stuck with them (knock on wood) yet although this past winter was weak.

haha, i have westlakes right now as me DD tire. 50 bucks a tire stock size. To be honest they have some grip, and are not loud at all! great cheap-O tires. Wonderful in the rain.

The latest issue of Grassroots Motorsports tested a bunch of tires and the Falken Zeix 912 was one of them. The test report also said that those tires were grippy and comfortable with low noise. Sounds like I might be trying 912's for my next set of street tires...

Yeah I am ready to put a another set of tires on, I have been running the Yokohama v4s for almost 60k miles and yeah they are really nice all season performance touring tires. I wonder how long they'd last autoxing? I am contemplating the falken ziex 912s as well from the info on the GRM article.
