Depending on the year '93 and up Z28s dyno from 275hp up to 310hp at the crank.

If you want to race one in an Si... Lots of luck! You are gonna need it!

From Nov. '01 Road & Track:

    0-60mph---5.5 sec
    1/4 mile--13.9@103.4mph

They do not slow down any with the slushbox either. With that much torque, it doesn't matter.

Also... Mods are VERY available, and effective. ie. Superchargers, Borla exhaust, edelbrock headers etc.

If all I wanted was a straight-up dragster... The Z28 would be the car!

Let me just say this.... my friends 99 LS1 Z28 6 speed has beaten a 2001 C5 LS1 6 speed corvette!!! Both of these cars had intake and exhaust.

I second on the Z28 for being a drag car:p

    Unhappy

z28's just tear $hit up. They are a truely powerful engine. Its a whole different class you go up against. It would take a bunch of mods to beat one stock. LS1's open up to modifications too. Bigtime
