It look just like our stock air box with cold air pick up. Perhaps our stock air box design is not bad at all. I'm pretty sure if we mod our box like what Hondata did and just add cold air pick up will give you just same amount of power.
Just a thought.
in my opinion, there's really no reason the EP icebox should be too expensive. the reason the 99-00 Si icebox was so much was because you had to purchase the SRI component of the intake, then also the cold air extension.
then again it is comptech, so i would be surprised if it's expensive.
yeah, I've been thinking about that the last few days. I mean 260 plus is a lot for something that is practically similar to the stock one. Fukk the ricebox...you can buy both the HKS mega flow intake and their Forced Conduction kit for $289. Those two will make you a lot faster for less.

But I do like the short ram that hks makes.
The HKS one is the only one with a sizable gain, but that's if you don't mind buying new filters for it every 3,000 miles. And I don't know if it's smog legal. I got jacked for not having a CARB sticker on my last SRI and got a smog test ticket for it. It sucked.
My forced conduction kit makes 5 whp for less than what the ricebox costs. No risk of damage to car either....
