    Crossover location?

On a set of component speakers, is it best to mount the crossovers closer to the speakers themselves or can the crossovers be left in the hatch area and still serve their purpose? The reason I ask is because it seems like it would be easier to mount them in the back than try to mount them in the doors.

You can mount them anyplace where they aren't constricted, and can get a small amount of airflow. The capacitors do heat up some, so I picked a spot where they wouldn't be visible at all, under the seats.

I found the doors were easy to do. I pre-wired them before I siliconed them into the inner door and just held them their for a little and it was all set to go. That is just my peferance. I was not running an amp now will I so that is why I did the door. I would say if you are doing an amp then year set them some inside the EP since you are not using the factory wire from the head unit like I am.
