On 7.5lbs, I made 200+ ft lbs at 4200rpm ALL THE WAY to redline. It's a straight line.

    Question

    So...

What's the price difference (if any) between the supercharger and the turbo?

$4400 for the Cybernation Stage I (MSRP)

    But who pays MSRP?

So how much is the Jackson Supercharger?

I think it would be pretty good if its a lot cheaper than a turbo.

Personally, (no offense Steve!) I couldn't deal with an expensive, finicky turbo, but a nice, simple supercharger...:o hmmm....

I am guessing the street version will be about $3000, similar to the RSX and Focus versions.

And according to the email I received from JR, we won't know until the end of July (price and availability). They WILL jack the price on us. We'll be lucky to get it for $3500.

Medic, In case you didn't catch on by his comment ssvr6 didn't pay $4400. He is partially sponsored by cybernation so he got a deal. My guess is he paid . . . $2400.

You mean, they'll be lucky to sell it for that! I was just looking at the dyno section where Joshua is getting 165hp & 130lb/ft of tourque with i/h/e and hondata. You will get 10hp and 20lb/ft for $3500? Good luck moving those Oscar!

Well as you guys may already know, the JRSC si is in July issue of Honda Tuning.

With "identical mods" of the JR Type-S:

    DC Sports Intake
    DC Sports Catback exhaust
    Jackson Racing Header
    Hondata Flash

The JRSC was getting 206 HP and 125 lb-ft at the wheels.

I'm not quite sure if the above mods are included with the kit, but priced alone:

    DC Sports Intake ~$150
    DC Sports Catback ~$550
    Jackson Racing Header ~$300-$500
    Hondata Flash ~$5-600

You are looking at $1500-$1800 in addition to what the SC will cost if the above mods aren't included with the kit.

Those prices for the above mods are street prices. If the JRSC has a street price of $2700 (NopiOnline prices for 2000 si JRSC) you are looking at $4200-$4500 street price for the JRSC and the mods to get that 206HP.

With a MSRP of the Cybernation kit at $4400.00 the JRSC just doesn't seem to be a good bang for the buck.

The JRSC system is going to cost more while also delivering less HP and less Torque!

    ... that's AWFUL! :'(

Whats the point of this NEAR useless mod? dump a bunch of $$ down the drain so that JR can make better superchargers for other cars. im a little dissapointed. i wish someone made a GOOD SC for our cars....turbo can be too expensive to keep. But SC woohoo!
