Isnt the base RSX TB like a couple of millimeters smaller than the Si/Type-S? That could be the issue.

It might be that the TB is a couple of mm smaller, but it seems like the difference is greater than a couple mm at the TB. Here's a pic, A is the breather hose, B is where it's supposed to attach, the difference is almost a width of the hose. This difference is also noticable in where the intake is supposed to bolt down.

    Ph0nk,

Did you ever get the RSX SRI in your EP? I'm thinking about
buying a cheap SRI from an RSX owner, just curious as to if you
ever got yours in or not (this one is for an RSX-S, I believe).

Bring this old post back up.

Same question, will it fit? To be more exact, will a AEM RSX Base Manual Short Ram Intake fit? I've searched and people said the Injen Type-S fits with no problem. Didn't see any AEM product saying it fits. If I remember right, I think 1 or 2 said the Type-S AEM Short Ram also fits. The EP, Type-S, and RSX Base all have different part numbers for AEM SRI. Reason why I am getting a RSX Base one is because of price. Found one for under $70 shipped, brand new. Sure beats the 70-100 buck used one made for our car.

This is correct. My Typhoon was for the RSX-s; the one for the base does not fit our cars.

I tried to get a used one off a base rsx from a local shop but they swore it would not fit.

I don't think the sri for a base rsx will fit. I have a injen sri for a rsx type s in my car, and it fits like a glove along with the heat shield.
