    Headers?

Will headers void my warranty ?? If so what aspects of the engine will it void? How does it affect low and top end? and how much do you guys think it would cost for installation?

Sry for all the questions but your advice is appreciated.

    thanks

The deal on warrnties is this (methinks it's time for a Warranty FAQ
    thread):
Any part that you put on your car that comes from the aftermarket
world will not 'void' any warranty. The dealer cannot 'void' your
warranty for a header, or an intake, or whatever. They can decline
to honor your warranty, if they can prove the aftermarket part you added caused the problem you are having. For example, you lower
the car on springs and it blows the stock shocks - they could decline
(or they could honor, depends on the dealer) to replace your shocks
under warranty. They could not, however, not warranty your power windows,
if they stopped working for some reason, because you have H&R springs.
This is a federal law called the Magnusson-Moss (sp?) Act. If you
search google, you should find a TON of info on it.

    Now, as for the headers:
First, do a search. You'll find past dyno results, first impressions, etc, of everything from DC Sports headers to rumors about Jackson Racings
    upcoming piece.
Typically, it seems as if the headers for this car either don't make
much of a difference (without the corresponding intake/exhaust added)
or they decrease low end, but give you top end gains/hp.
Install shouldn't be too bad - I would say an hour, maybe two, worth
of work. You could probably do it yourself fairly easily. Someone
in your local area (that's on ephatch) could probably give you hand
    for some beer/food.

thats kinda what i figured.. but with the loss in low end torque i received with the AEM SRI. im reluctant to put more mods on that dont decrease low end.. what can i do to increase power in both high and low end and still stay N/A..????

To not lose low end: Geesh! I keep looking at dynos that are losing low end, not a ton, but still.

I'm waiting for Mugen to give us I/H/E, they typically don't lose power anywhere in the RPM range. They also don't tend to make Peak HP numbers, but I'd rather have a full power band than a large top end. On my ITR, different story, but the EP has "some" torque down low, and I'd like to keep it.

Just so no one gets upset, I've hardly looked at all the plots on here, and I'm sure there are mods which don't lose low end, it just seems that typically they do to some degree.

Wouldn't this fit better in the Engine section? To increase anything N/A, you will need to consider a larger T.B., intake, cams, headers, exhaust, new valve train, ecu, injectors, weight reductions, etc. Try a search, and/or check out the N/A section in the Engine section of this site :D .
