      The black plastic piece came from the inside of the shift boot. It originally clipped into the OEM chrome plastic piece, but since I accidentally broke one of the black piece's tabs off, I had to find another way to use it.

      For integrity, I superglued that piece to the top, and also superglued a rubber washer that I had sitting around to the inside of the boot.

      This was the first time I ever changed the shift knob of a car, and I'm still surprised by how much it changes the shift feel. I dig it.

      Thx for the offer, but i wont be getting a knob until SSEP3 gets me the CTR boot, which he expects around december or so. And damn, those stickers take so long to arrive.;) Still waiting for your good news.

      I know. It will be 10 business days this week, so I am hoping monday. I got my CTR boot from Options Auto Salon (first cross border purchase) and got killed with the brokerage fee.

      I am not doing anything with the shift knob right now so if you are interested just let me know.
