    Mugen Suspension in the Winter

I am interested in the mugen suspension kit and I live in Ohio. I was wondering if the mugen kit would last longer than tein basics due to rust and salt and other things in the winter time. Does anyone know anything about this? thanks

I've been considering the same, but i'm looking at the Mugens or KWs (which are stainless steel).

If your really concerned, I think some routine preventative maintance would really help. Like a complete undercarraige detail every spring and fall.

You should check out a product called Corrosion Block

Look here and here for some more info.

    Here's the official site

You don't have to worry about Mugen suspension because it not coilovers. You only have to worry about coilovers rusting because those are adjustable in height. When it seizes from rust, it's a real b#tch to adjust.

Thats a good point. I'd still probably use some Corrosion Block on all of the bolts and stuff (just to make it easier in the future if you need to take them off).

From what I hear the Mugen setup is made pretty much the same way the stock setup is made just stiffer, shorter springs and stiffer shocks. Supposedly they are made by the same company who makes the oem suspension. If all this is true then I don't think rusting would be a big problem.
