    crossover

    what does a crossover do? crossovers came with my front components...and i have no idea in hell what they do

    Basically, a passive crossover will seperate the high signals to the tweeter and mids/lows to the midrange. Normally, a crossover will have 1 input (Incoming wiring) and 2 outputs. You may also come across a crossover with 2 inputs. If that's the case it will allow you to "Bi-wire" in order to get more power to your speakers.

    I love crossovers. They make the music sound so much more refined.

    Yup...

    1 +/- input and usually 2 +/- outputs (one for the tweeter and one for the mid).
