    clutch engagement point

    just wanted to know if the engagement point is mid way up...
    felt strange to me when i drove my ep3

    What year EP do you drive? I know the 04/05 models have a lighter clutch than the 02/03. I have a 2002 and I guess it's about half way up, maybe a little less than half way (closer to the floor board).

    All years use the same clutch, CMC and slave, no differences. The engagement point is usually about mid stroke.

    I once measured mine at 7 1/4in from the floor to engagement point.

    gonna measure mine hopefully today...this is a 2004

    thanks for the reply, just feels high compared to my del sol, which was very low

    Are you sure? Because I have a 2002 EP and I drove rnam1's stock 2005 and the clutch felt waaay lighter.

    i think the clutch weight differs from ep to ep... i drove drove my friends 02 ep and his clutch felt lighter than my 04... :noidea:

    edit: weight differs, but engaging point is constant... at least it felt that way...

    I still have to rewrite the thread on this. But basically you add a washer behind the pivot ball for the throwout arm. It will move the engagment point back to where it should be.
