    what wax do you use

so far ive tried turtle wax ice; loved its shine liked how easy it was to apply and how it could go on anything but glass, but it doesnt last as long as a carnuba or or a traditional synthetic wax

Meguiars Cleaner Wax; not as shiny as the turtle wax and not easy to apply. you can get it on smooth rubber or plastic trim but if it gets on the grainy stuff like what you have on the bottom of your wind shield, you will get some residue.
cant speak on how well it last since i just used it last saturday.

    "Meguiars NXT

It's the best at hiding the fine swirls that are inevitable with NHBP."

my dad used that stuff before. i might try that next time around.

i also have a trial size of meguiars cleaner wax that came with the clay bar package.

recently, i've used turtle wax platinum (paste) and mothers carnauba cleaner wax (liquid). i don't ever want go back to paste.

if you're willing to sacrifice some of the deep color that a wax adds....collinite is seen as a very durable wax. I use 476s, "super doublecoat auto wax". It lasts the longest among the waxes I've tried. I do doubt that it lasts as long as it's advertised "full year". Here's a page with more info.

I'm currently using Collinite 845 (liquid version of 476). I usually use it in the winter as a topper for the Klasse twins. I was suprised it gives as good of gloss and almost as much depth as Poorboys Natty's. It's very "bright" looking. Really easy to apply.

depends on the product. if its one of the high end waxes then your only supposed to do it like 2 times a year. for most of the off the shelf waxes, which in reality are just polish, you can apply like every other wash.

the reason the cleaner wax isnt as shiny is because its just what it says,a cleaner wax. it helps remove some dirt particles and crap thats left in your paint after you wash it and helps remove some scratches.follow that up with a finishing wax and then a clear coat sealer or just one of them.ive waxed my car with 3 differant kinds before.but normally i will just do 1 coat of the NXT TECH wax.i may do 2 coats every few months just to help preserve the paint. btw i detail cars so im picky about my exterior.
