The 215/50/15 tires have a smaller diameter than stock so your car would be telling you you are going 3.1% faster than you really are. The 205/55 is only 1% off. I don't know how about putting a 215 tire on a 6 inch rim, maybe somebody else can help. I'm buying new tires soon and I'm considering the 205/55/15 General Exclaim UHP from tire rack since it's the cheapest and rated pretty well. Although now you got me considering the 215/50. My wheel is 6.5 inches wide so that would be a little bit better.

i've done a few hours of reading and research both on here and other tire sources and came to the conclusion that I'm going with 205/55-15s for my stock wheels and as far as brand i'm stuck between falken ziex 912, kumho escsta asx, and yokohama avids. All are priced closely and have similar performance, but different mileage warrenties. 205-50s are small and will set the speedo off by i believe nearly 7% where as the 205/55s is only around 1%. my ep is my daily driver so I'm trying to stay close to stock size for gas mileage and legal purposes.

Yeah, based on my research and the advise of you guy's i think i'll stay on the safe side and go 205-55-15 ... Think i may try out the Champiro 328 tires i hear they are a nice tire and last a little longer than Falken's...Thanks.
