haha....can i get sponsored by you?
Alright guys, I'm bored. I want a project. I'm risking my authentic mugen radiator duct kit to make a mold to produce accurate replicas. No more waiting, no more praying for pics of updates. I'm ordering the stuff i need to make the mold tomorrow. I already started on the wind deflector part of the radiator kit.
Heres a pic of what I've done so far, its not very much... but atleast its started

Well this should be interesting, either way it turns out. Very bold to take on such a project. Good luck.
LOL ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha
omg if you make this i will buy one before i even have the bumper
I'm not sure about making molds, but I could make a 1 off replica of that pretty well but it would take some trimming.
Wrap it in saran wrap and then coat it in loads of vaseline and buy some stretchy fleece cloth; lay that over the vaseline on one side and press it firm and it should stick to the vaseline, then brush on fiberglass resin or jelly and let it dry and it'll make a firm shell, pull it off. Go to autozone or something and you can buy lengths of fiberglass cloth, the matting shit sucks and its too hard to work with. Get the kind thats weaved toether.
Lay that over and use more fiberglass resin, i'd probably do 2 layers. If you do 2 layers do them all at once, the increased heat from doing it all at once will make it stronger.
thanks for the suggestions. If my method doesn't work i will consider that. Due to the nature and bends of these parts especially the deflector.. i need something that can easily bend. This is why i will make a latex mold and a plaster mother mold. The plaster mother mold will give me the strength and confinement i need while casting. I can then remove the latex mold from the plaster mold and peel off the flexible/durable latex mold off the plug. I really think this way will work, we shall see soon
