    Are you talking about the valve seat? http://www.tialmedia.com/documents/w3_tial_wg_assem.pdf
    If so, then you'll need that to seal properly. Mechanically, it's not going to mess anything up.

    yeah, you fucked up. Hopefully you don't have all that shit put on already. The metal ring is the valve seat. When you put the gasket on and tighten it down, it will push the valve seat into the wastegate. You should not see a gap. Use the metal one

    no it was outside the gasket. its a thick ring that came in the wastegate box. But I got it on and the wastegate worked fine, but I blew my motor by going wot without a proper tune. I just ran the mototron map and changed the injectors in the parameters. Thats not enough I guess. Or maybe its cuz the wastegate was set to 10psi?
