S2000 shift knob with 5 spd. ep?

To be honest, I got this knob for free from someone at work. I'm so tempted to put it on my ep, even though I have a 5 spd. tranny, because it looks so nice. Would that be retarded though? Maybe I should just sell it to someone who actually has an actual 6 spd.? What do you think I should do?

    will it fit on there?

it would not be stupid unless you got someone else to drive it and they tried to stick it in 6th gear and got reverse...LOL...

i am not sure i would do it, but if you do... be careful.

It will fit on the EP3's shifter just fine, but the shift boot will need to be either rigged or get a EP3R shift boot. I have had the leather wrapped OEM S2k shift knob installed for several years now.

A guy at my work has a buddy that has an S2. He said he got another knob and asked him if he knew someone that wanted it. He knows how much I love car parts so I was the first person he thought of.

Ha, ha. I guess I'm pretty lucky then. Maybe I'll try it on for size tomorrow, with the diy shift boot mod.

If you don't like it I'm sure there a quite a few people on here that will take it.
As for the whold 6 speed knob in a 5 speed thing. If you let someone else drive it make sure they know it is actually a 5 speed. Otherwise who is going to notice the pattern? Or just use this as an excuse to add a 6th gear.
