engine light turning on and off....should i worry

whats up guys, so my engine light decided to turn on out of the blue about a week ago . It turned off that same day about an hr after being on. Yesterday it turned on again, and again it turned off about after an hr or so. does anyone know what this could be? I have CAI and Shorty headers and aprox 80k miles. any feedback is appreciated. thanks

you need to pull the code your never going to find out whats wrong untill u get the code. even when the cel isnt on you still might be able to pull the code

Imma go ahead and say 02 sensor. If its that it is just letting you know that is is going bad. but will still pass emissions and stuff.

Go and scan it but thats about the mileage my ep and my bfs ep went at

you need the code. go to autozone to get the DTC code or use a OBDII jumper thing to get an idea of what the code could be

If it flashes off and on constantly at any point there is a major issue. It is detecting multiple misfires and the car should not be driven. If it is just once in a while it is MOST LIKELY (Not necessarily) a o2 sensor

Yesss... if it flashes stop the car and just go on ahead and call a tow truck!
