DC5R Suspension on an ep3

Hey all,

I managed to get my hands on a set of DC5R suspension. Is anyone else running a DC5 suspension on their ep? I just need to run DC5 tie rod ends and shave the rear bushing to fit? Do I need to run inverted tie rod ends to help correct the steering arms? I believe its about a 1.5" drop.

Also I can make out some of the part #'s so if anyone could help me it would be nice.

I'm thinking of using these for a DD because my Megan coilovers are too harsh and stiff even on the softest setting. I think they can also perform on the track and autocross. Thanks for all the help

Yes.
No need for inverted tie rods.
The Mugen SS is about a 1.4" drop, DC5R is about 3/4".

I was also looking at a set of Mugen ss but the DC5R ones were cheaper. Those are the only part #'s I see on the whole assembly. But I've heard some good reviews on the DC5R suspension plus they are OEM. I guess I can use them for DD and tracking

Do what Hasbro says, I have the only set of Ex-Motion Athlete Orange coil overs in the country on my Ep3 and they were made for the DC5R.

i have DC5 suspension in my ep3. You will need to get the tie rod end because ours is smaller then the DC5. Also the rear you will have to grind the inside of the shock that goes onto the spindle because the DC5 is thinner.

They should work fine. Where are you getting mixed reviews? The struts me be sprung a little more towards the weight setup of a DC5, but nothing that should be too detrimental to the handling on the Ep3 chassis. Make sure to change the rear sway over to a 05-06 RSX 21mm sway and it should improve the handling also.

Here's a basic review of the DC5R itself. They mention the handling characteristics a few times throughout. I dunno if it will help, but you'll get an idea of the ride quality.

Well...some people are saying that the DC5R is the same as the A-spec but with a little more drop. Some say that they are shit. Soem love them.

What is the actual drop on them?

I want to know how they cope with daily driving (comfortable? bumpy? Ride height?) Also how they would perform in autocross or even a track day

Shocks & Springs:
It is a DIRECT BOLT ON. (DC5)
The drop is 1" all around.
It is stiffer than the stock USDM suspension and the USDM A-Spec suspension.
If you desire to go lower, Spoon springs can be fitted to these.
