    Oil pump on k24a1

    Can i use the stock a3 pump when i get my k24a1 fully swapped? Ive heard i HAVE to use an a2 or z3 pump but on my budget i really cant afford idt. If i have to do a differenf pump what else do i have to get to go with it and where is the best place to find these parts?

    You do not HAVE to use an a2 or z3 pump. I would use the stock a1 pump in your situation. The balance shafts will reduce vibration from the a1 crank/internals - no point in swapping it for the a3 pump since it prob has diff balance shafts designed for the a3 crank.

    DO NOT use the A3 pump on the A1, the balance shafts are not correct and will cause vibrations. You may be able to swap the a1 shafts into the A3 pump, it is not something I have looked at.

    Just stay with the a1 pump, youll be fine. BTW, what are your plans anyways?

    Just k24a1, crsx raceheader, ep3 manifold, pwjdm powerchamber, kpro, and an exhaust. Also a cc stage 1.5 clutch and lightweight flywheel. Prolly gonna be dissapointed. A members sellin skunk 2 stage 2 cams but dont know if i trust myself to mess with internals.

    ya just stay with the a1 pump, youll be fine, just watch the RPM's you set in Kpro, no need to go over 7200 really.
