I thought the same thing when I saw this pic, I guess I've just gotten used to seeing 225/50's now.
Damn, this thread seems to have come back to life a bit... lol I never realized that many people were running 225/50/16's, the only one I could seem to find was '03civicdopejmd's car when I was debating on whether or not to go with this size.
Well, he definitely helped sway my decision, his ride looks great!
    Up with the 'hellabeef' movement...

I'm running 225/50R16s on some +35 7.5" wide wheels. Prob about 1.5" drop. Had to roll the rear to stop from rubbing.

haha thanks man, yes fill your wells with meat!
I'll look for a side shot, this is my take on it, if you want to be more nimble but scrafice dd'ing youll want the 45's but if you want to be comfortable and can deal with a small amout of tire roll then the 50's are your best bet

plus the dunlops run 10mm wider then the other 225's soo your really running closer to a 235... I love the dunlops

Im on bcrsd's with out a finger gab or less in the front and a fingure gab or more in the rear.. there close but the rear is deffinitly higher!

This guy below me doesnt live in TX... lol!

I am running 225/50 16's as well. Currently on 16x7 +42 wheels. At first I was a little skeptical about the size, but the extra diameter has helped my acceleration somewhat.
The look has kinda grown on me though, I give hella beefy two thumbs up.
Sitting on Tein super streets with about 1/2" gap and minimal camber out back.
