That's because you were paying for it. They don't care if it doesn't cost them extra.

This brings such sadness to my stomach :(
Thats no good, Seems like people have no clue how to drive in the snow, and it was the first big storm of the year right? What was the final damage?
This is terrible, this car is so rare now so I hope you can get it back on the road in acceptable condition.
can't after the estimate, you get a check so that you can go buy the stuff yourself? unless the estimate price doesn't include oem.
shit bro, that looks pretty bad hope everything goes well.
Go in there and demand you want all OEM new parts. I used to work at a Honda Collision shop and they always skimped out to save money. They will do it, you just have to prove a point. Plus the aftermarket tails for our cars are complete shit. Good luck!
Sorry - I'm not getting the "notification by emails" for this - any idea mods?
Took it to the shop Thursday afternoon - I'm expecting a phone call today or tomorrow, the car was "$1500 away from being totaled" but when they start tearing it down, they may find that extra $1500 in damage. If that's the case, I'll buy it back to part out. If not, I should have it back in like 10 days.
