painting dash kit

i have a metra dash kit sittin here in my room and im waiting to install my system until i get it painted to match my silver dash. what has anyone else done about this or did you guys not really care about it not matching. thanx for the feedback guys.

I think Paxie said that Scosche would be coming out with a silver one sometime in february. I'm holding out until then, just because I have no cash too! BUT... some other guy painted his entire front console bright arse red. quite livid if you ask me. I dig it, but couldn't probably bring myself to do it... yet

If you're gonna paint your piece, I'd reccomend doing it right, and I'm not a detailer but I think multiple layers of enamel paint and very fine sanding is the way to go... If you're going just silver, I think matching would be important...
