    K24a4 worth it?

So my k20a3 on my 02 ep3 has a cracked head and I was thinking of just swapping the whole long block to a k24a4 since after reading many articles that the swap is cheap and everything bolts right up...
    But my question is:
Is it worth doing the swap to a k24a4?
I know it has 20 more torque but same amount of hp, does it make a differance? And for the people that did it already. How do u like it?

YES, so worth it if you are on a budget. If you set up the motor right, you could have a NA monster and later down the road boost it...... K24s' love boost!!!

Appreciate for the feedback.... Now I have more faith of getting the k24 now... On the reals, I didn't know if it would of been worth it so I was doubting and debating

i would shoot for the k24a1 if you can. slightly better and easier to swap heads if you want to down the road (the k24a4 has domed pistons that prevent the use of any other heads)

Would the a1 bolt up and drop in just like a4?
    I didn't read much on the a1

yes. its actually the better option between the two. the only downside is the a1 is usually a bit pricier.

Or depending on your budget, save up a little more and just get a K24A2

I'm on the edge of doing the swap too..

Car has almost 140K and just started leaking oil. Only problem is I'm not very confident in doing it myself, may just slowly build it and learn until my k20 goes.

Besides I'm keeping my ep forevar! ;)

Alright appreciate the advice but the question is a1 should drop in just like how the a4 would right?

don't forget kpro in the equation which is another 700. the k24a1/a4 can run with the stock ecu if you swap over the RSX-S 310cc injectors. but on the k24a4 you have to swap the crank position sensor over.

if you planning to boost i seen k24a4 up to 400+ whp so thats planning of room to play.

heres a thread that has alot of info for the k24s
