This all depends on your budget. If you are not incorporating Kpro into your budget then your choices are limited. I'll kinda touch this up the next couple of days.
Kpro not required but advised
K20a2-Must be used with k20a2 ecu. Great top end power but slow down low. Revs higher than anything else USDM. Has oil jets to keep the pistons cool
K24a1-Must be used with 310cc injectors with NO MODS. Great power down low and much cheaper than the k20a2. Does not make top end power or rev high like the a2.
K24a4-Must be used with 310cc injectors with NO MODS. Very similiar to the k24a1 but a little cheaper to buy. The cost saved on the motor will be spent fixing the water port issue.
Kpro is a must
K20a-Very hard to find and very expensive just like the K20A2 but it comes with different cams and higher cr pistons. Has oil jets to keep the pistons cool
K24a2-The most powerfull engine. Makes tq down low and makes power up top and still revs decently high. Has the same water port issue as the k24a4. Has oil jets to keep the pistons cool just like the k20a2 and k20a.
K24a1 block w/ A2 head- Great boost motor. Has no oil jets so you don't want to get too crazy on the stock block. This is called the poor man's tsx motor. It will almost reach the same power level as the stock tsx but falls short since the k24a1 block has a lower cr. The k24a4 block can also be used but the pistons MUST be swapped out.
