DIY: 'Free' front license plate relocation

I wasn't sure wheter to put this in the DIY or exterior mods. But, I put it here as i didn't intend it to be a diy at first. So please move this to the correct forum if needed please.

Okay, I don't have any pics at this time. However, I was bored sunday waiting to go to band practice and i was trying to think of something to do to my car. I was sick of the plate blocking the whole front bumper, and i couldn't remove it because I had received a ticket for not having it presented on the front of my Ep3. I didn't want to waste the money on a jdm relocator or some other brand, so I decided to use the existing bracket.

Here is my DIY license plate relocator:

    Tools required:

    -drill(optional)
    -plate screws,and
    -10mm socket i believe
    -stock ep plate bracket
    -zipties or something similar

    1. Take the bracket off from the car and remove the plate from the bracket.

    2. Flip the bracket upside down and decide where you want your holes. Then with a drill or do what I did, (I used the plate screws since the bracket is soft plastic) and then drill a small hole in each extention of the bracket.

    3. Next decide where you want you bracket to be (I put mine on the right side of the bumper).

    4. Slide you zipties through each hole and then around the back of the grill in the bumper and secure them tight (the hard part for me because I put the ziptie in where I had a hard time fitting my hand).

    5. Finally, put your plate back on and enjoy the better looking view.

Sorry for the $hitty pics, they are from my cam phone. It's the best I can do for now. I'll try to take some tomorrow up close with the bracket. It'll be with my phone again, but i suppose it'll get the point through.

This also leaves room for you to keep your foglights if you have the plate offset. At least it looks that way on my car, even though I don't have the fogs. IMO, it looks way better than before.
