K24a2.
Well pretty self explainatory. Some backgroung information, I have a 2004 with a stock a3 with 125,000 miles on it now. The car had a greddy turbo kit on it in the past for about 30k. I removed the turbo kit a few years ago and have been stock since. I have decided to rebuild the ep3 again. Right now I am trying to decide whether to reboost the ep3 with a rev hard kit or another kit besides greddy, having trouble finding other turbo kits with the current a3. Or option two is swap the engine to either a k24a2 or K20a or a2 and a few bolt ons no boost. I am a little concerned about the milage on my current a3 but I have had no issues what so ever. I am looking for in the ballpark of 250-280ish hp with boost. My car will be a dd/ track car and would like to keep AC for some situations. Just wondering what you guys think.
So far two for the k24a2, kind of expected. What kind of numbers are you guys running in the 1/4 mile with bolt ons? I was in high 13s-low14s depending on track condition.
TUURRHHHBOOOOO BRAH!
Gotta get them MAAAAAAAAAAAAAD CHHOOO CHOO sounds under the hood so your homies will be all like: "Fuck yea!" and bitches' panties be droppin'!
I'm being completely sarcastic. Been watching too much Mighty Car Mods, lol
If ur looking for 250 -280 whp u aint getting that with a k24a2 on boltons. I wouldve just kept the a3 boosted till it blew. U say ur motor has no issues. So why buy another motor when ur current motor has proven numerous times that it can handle that power easily not to mention u already have a turbo kit. 04ep3hatch is making 327 whp on his a3 and he has 150k on his motor

I sold my last Greddy kit. SuperchargedK20 you do make a good point. I could always reboost the a3 with a better kit and if it does blow throw a k24a1 in. I have been looking at either the Rev Hard or Full Race but I honestly think Full Race is a little more than I need.If i did go with the K24a2 I was going to do cams and a custom tune. I figured with agressive cams I would be in the ball park of 250ish.
I have a rev hard kit and its more than enough for my power goals
Yeah, I Rev Hard kit will be what I go with more than likely.
why not both? k24a4/k24a1 are cheap and easily swap-able motors for the EP and make/ hold good power. you could build a pretty reliable budget minded monster very easily with either one.
ima drop this right here:
