i think he is on stock tires..

holy crap how did I miss that :oOriginally posted by 95 GSR
i think church automotive uses a dynojet dyno that runs from the axles with the wheels removed. That is why he hit 165. correct me if im wrong, but on a dyno with rollers would be more like 155 or so.

its called a dynopack... and yes, on a dynojet he would be around 157-158...if hes running stock rims and tiresOriginally posted by !@#$%

I had 17's on when I put 149whp down. I asked the guy there doing the dyno run if that mattered, he said it doesn't affect anything. Is this really true or not?Originally posted by 95 GSR

yes , it matters.
run your car on the dyno with your 15s. you'll see
the bigger/heavier the rim the more power u lose to the ground
damn, too bad I don't have the 15's anymore just to see how much of a difference we're talking. I know that the bigger rotational mass/weight hurst performance, I just didn't think it would matter on the dyno that much. So I wonder how much whp I lost?Originally posted by 95 GSR

I saw a test in a magazine where they dyno'd a mildly modified car with 13's (I believe), then put 17s that weighed in at 9.5 lbs heavier than the stock steelies and slightly bigger overall diameter. On the dyno they showed about a 6hp loss across the entire powerband. Mind you that was about a 25% weight increase and the weight was now further out, so it's not that surprising.Originally posted by 02SilverSiHB

If you kept close to the stock wheel/tire combo's weight, it shouldn't throw it off by much. Maybe 1/2-2 hp would be my guess due to the rotational mass being further out from the hub. If you were to add more weight to the wheels and tires, you'd be more likely to feel it as slower response in the suspension than you would in acceleration. I wouldn't sweat it.
bigger rims always kills it!!
dyno with 15s. stock rims
160whp is pretty good numbers
now time to go to track .aim for 14 high /15 low.
where in torrance is that dyno place? i work in torrance at Scott Robinson Honda, did you buy you car there? well anyways hit me up with a phone number becuase i want to see what my car puts out! it feels pretty fast so im hopeing for like 150 to the wheels
MODS are:
hondata flash
AEM CAI
hondata heatsheild gasket
1/4 miles run best time was 15.675 and the sorriest was 16.233
i took out spare and jack too and lowered tire pressure to 30 from 35 and it was 100+ degree weather during the day but at night it was a lil cooler probably 85-95, no sure.
i'd like to see the numbers this car does at the track:)
