New head unit?

I have just sold my pioneer dehp8000r on ebay and need some suggestions for a new unit. Here are the things I am looking for;

1.plays mp3
2.3 pre outs- 4 volt or better
3.remote
4.displays the id3 tags. both artist and title at the same time
5. I would like a red display but its not important.


Any pics of your installed units would help. The price range is 400-800. Thanks.

look at the new eclipse decks, they have both green and red lights you can switch between them, and the red matches the rest of the dash very well, they have all the other things you are looking for, and sound awsome

Alpine decks have everything you need, minus the red face. The colors they do have aren't so bad though.


I suggest the Alpine CDA-7995.

I thought all units from eclipse were blue and green buttons with a white display. Can you post pics of your unit?

I am leaning towards the alpine 9815, I like the 2 line dot matrix display. Does anybody have any pics of the 9815 intalled in a SI?

Yea my headunit turns red when i hit the bass button, so it goes from blue to red...i like it alot, FYI you do need a external amp for this unit
