did u put the whole piping or u jus added the muffler
i just put a muffler on my car and was wondering what was keeping it from being loud. its an apexi n1 muffler with a 3.5"tip. I was wondering if someone had a full outline of our engines and the entire car so i can figure out what is what in our car. thanx. it would be great.
did u put the whole piping or u jus added the muffler
i just added the muffler but what is restricting it from being loud? What should i do for my custom piping? Can ya tell me EXACTLY what i have to get? thanx i appreciate it
the reason y it doesn't sound loud is bcuz it doesn't have enuff back pressure. i have the same muffler i put custom piping on it 2.5 n it souds good n loud. n to answer ur ? bout the Super afc its best if u get it dyno tuned. They set it up rite for u n they teach u how to do it so u wont mess it up. cuz playin around with it u jus might mess something up in ur engine.
hey, how much did your custom piping cost SI-Rican?
i paid $180
Not quite sure how you are sayin it doesn't have enuff back pressure. Wouldn't it be because with the stock piping it still has too much back pressure.
This is why I bought a Comptech catback....so theres no worries. Comptech catback comes with custome piping, catalytic jack, and exhaust. I hope its gonna be loud!!
i have an axle back N1 and its pretty loud for an axle back. here's a couple pic's of it. -joe

Custom Rear section OEM flange used, so that i can swap my SI exhaust back on if
necessary!

and to answer your question of whats keeping it from being LOUD, well take out your resonator add some 2.25/2.5 inch pipe and you'll get loud. The resonator is what kills alot of noise in our ep! --joe
I read somewhere that 2.5" is the way to go. The article said it lost power with the other diameters they tried. I will wait for the GReddy EVO to come out.
