rain-x dissolves the wiper blade material. it is keeping a really fresh edge on the blade, possibly causing them to grab. I would not recommend rain-x if you EVER use the wipers. wax the windshield when you wash the car instead.
I've only noticed this lately (hasn't rained much, but we had a decent one today), but my Bosch wipers kinda vibrate when going across the Rain-X-treated windshield.
It's not the buzz-like "brrr" kind of sound that old wipers tend to make. Instead, it's a lower frequency, with about an inch between each shake.
It seems like the wiper arms vibrate quite a lot, and I can't imagine that it's good for them. Should I remove the Rain-X, even though I think it's a great thing to have on my windows?
Would there be another reason?

Hmm, interesting. Okay, I'll try the wax thing next time I get a chance to wax the car.
