Hey guys. I'm not quite sure what the difference is in the old vtec and the new ivtec. It'll be kool if someone could fill me in. And is there a ivtec controller out there?

iVTEC adds VTC on top of VTEC. The new Si engine only has VTEC on intake, while RSX-s has it on both intake and exhaust. Both have VTC. I don't know about an aftermarket VTC, as it would probably require alot of modifications.Originally Posted by Funkyjiffy

Reading that thread made me sad about our engine. The pics with the A3's missing cam lobe was bad. Makes me want a swap or turbo really bad.
hell yeah me too. but hey an engine is an engine. doesn't matter if its not really vtec. it still has a lot of potential.
