yes im gangster like that
no my baby needs to break in more
wsup guys. my question's simple. exactly how many miles does it take to break in a car? well i got my car with 750 mi on it, and right now it's at about 1150. i'm pretty sure i've gotten the rpm to about 4-5 when i first got my car at 750 mi. ive asked a couple people and have gotten differenet responses. id like to just know the truth. i've heard it breaks in at 500...1000....and then 1500 to be REAL safe. im hoping that the car was already broken in since i've raced couple times.

I was told by the salesman to give it 600 miles. I *THINK* I read in the owners manual 500 miles. But like CivilEngSI said... the parts aren't goin anywhere.

what about breaking it in at 200,000 miles?
Almost all cars now don't need to be "broken in". The tolerences are so small with new computer aided manufacturing, that if there was anything wrong, breaking the car in would be the least of your problems. Plus, running it a little bit hard in the beginnning allows all your seals and gaskets to seat correctly. There are better posts on the internet that can explain it better than I.
