    IAT /w Mugen Style Hood

Anyone know if/how much the Mugen (or other) hoods drop under hood temperatures?

I heard they are pretty functional when you are turbo'd. My Seibon Mugen CF hood had the vents but they were covered and I was too scared to take a dremmel to my hood.

Any estimates or data from kpro that shows the difference in temperature? What about rain? Is it designed to drain somewhere or does it just drop into the engine bay?

When it rains the water goes in the engine bay. I cut two small hole in the bottom of my hood near the bumper on either side and the water drained perfect.

you could put a funnel type thingy in your grill
you could take the grill out.
you could take out the plastic cover that the wipers bolt into that keeps leaves out and routes water to the sides away from the engine.
The latter would surely get alot more air in there but probably isnt great, but you might be able to cut slots into it to get air in
