if you remove the specks does it leave pits in the metal?

usually when exhaust valves look ghost white when cleaned it indicates too much timing / detonation

perhaps the same applies for sparkplugs

its weird i have never seen or heard of something like that

    what plugs are you using?
i once had a 592whp ep on pump gas, i sold it and bought a Z
(heed my advice i know what im doing)

bkr9eix just like i was tuned on by st00pid. this is the first time i have seen this on my plugs, but i just started using murphy's usa gas (aka walmart gas) cuz they are the only ones that carry e10. i was tuned on e10 so i wanted to use it, but now im thinking of just going back to shell even though it isnt e10.

e10? 10% ethanol? whats the octane rating of that?

a 9 heat range? thats a bit over kill for anyhonda im running 7s

it could be a combo of deposits and too cold of a plug

well you can ask anybody, that is the only plug st00pid will tune on. he has his reasons and i have never had a problem with the plugs for the past 2 years. its 93 oct e10 but i think the plugs may be normal. the car has been in open loop til up to about 2 months ago, then i switched it to closed loop. so im used to seeing the plugs a lil black. i guess im just being a bit paranoid.

as a piston starts to melt it starts to pit really bad and slowly overtime

    especially with oem cast pistons

reload you cal and select to have the CEL flash when it detects knock just to be sure cause detonations will errode a piston overtime
