    Rockford Fosgate light???

    a light came on my RF amp, i think it was a yellow "protect" light

    what does it mean?

    the amp is in protect mode it saw a short/overload/bad ground/too hot/many other options. you need to read the manual to find out exactly what your light can do in specific and trace down what could have caused it.

    Check aroung for loose or touching wires.

    bad ground. amps not gettin 12 volts

    It would be getting the voltage just not the amperage it needs
